Currently a GR8 2d 4 pin Light fitting

We have 2x spare GR8 2 pin lights which don't fit.

The clip on the current 4 pin is also broken so doesn't stay in place on it's own. A locking screw has been added to replace the clip. It must be unscrewed to remove the bulb.

One possible fix may be to replace the connector which may, or may not, be this

Earlier this summer (2023) the four pin bulb failed completely (usual strobing etc.) and Ian B agreed we had nothing to loose by attempting to modify a 2 pin bulb to fit. This proved to be impossible, but it was possible to transplant the tube itself to the four pin base, wired the same as the failed tube. It is now fully working, stays in place even with the luminaire cover removed, and is expected to outlast our remaining time in Little House. If by some unexpected circumstance it fails again before we move, I may be able to fix it one more time, but if our move is delayed, and considering the recent fluorescent ban, conversion to a LED fitting would probably be the best option.
